About Food and Nutritional Services

The department employs approximately 20 full and part-time employees, who prepare over 10,000 meals a year. Food and Nutrition Services is funded by Belmont Public Schools. All funds are generated through paid meal service, a la Carte sales and state and federal reimbursement. BPS Schools participates in the USDA School Lunch, Breakfast and commodity food programs. Meals are available to all district students and staff at a reasonable cost and available to eligible students at a free or reduced price based on USDA program guidelines.

School lunch prices:

  • High School - $3.25
  • 8 ounce milk - $0.50
  • High School breakfast - $1.50

Checks sent to school to be credited to your child's Nutrikids account should be made payable to: Belmont Public Schools and should be delivered to Food Services in the morning before or after lunch.

For on-line payments to Nutrikids, credit cards usually credit the account within 25 business hours. E-checks, bank and debit cards without the credit card logo may take from 3-10 calendar days to appear as a balance in Food Services. Please be sure to make payments well in advance so that the children have money in their accounts when they approach the register.
