Grade Point Average (GPA)

NOTE: Beginning with the class of 2013, all course grades and GPA’s will be non-weighted.

“Official” GPAs are computed at the end of the junior year, the end of the first semester of the senior year, and the end of the senior year.

“Official” GPAs are used for college applications and senior awards for academic distinction, including valedictorian, salutatorian, and honor medals.

GPA is calculated as a non-weighted grade point average. To compute the non-weighted GPA, multiply the value of each grade by the credit value of the course, then add up the total for all courses. Divide this total by the total number of credits.
