Chenery Middle School

Participation in any after school or evening activity requires that the student be in school on that day. An activity fee of $50 per year is charged which covers all extra curricular and athletic activities. Intramural sports are held on a different afternoon for each grade. Activities vary and are posted outside of the school gym and are announced over the PA. For more information about After School Activities visit the Chenery Middle School web site.

The extended day program CHENEX is offered to all students in grades 5-8, Monday-Friday from 2:10-6:00 p.m. (early release days 11:00-6:00) for a fee based on the number of days students participate. Applications are available in the main office. For more information visit the Chenex web site: www.chenexprogram.org/

High School

In addition to the athletic and fine and performing arts programs, students typically participate in at least one of the many clubs, groups, and activities offered.

Activity fees are assessed for interscholastic sports and other extra curricular activities and clubs. These funds are used to offset the cost of sponsoring all student activities at Belmont High School and are payable as a condition of participation. The student activity fee for high school activities is $250 per student which covers participation in one or more interscholastic sport, club and organization during the entire school year. The family maximum is $500 each school year. For more information visit www.belmont.k12.ma.us/bhs/clubs/

Access to School Facilities

While individual classrooms are part of the public school, it is requested, as a general courtesy, that neither parents/guardians nor students go into a room in which a teacher is not present without specific permission to do so. If a teacher is not in the room, check at the office for advice on leaving or retrieving messages or items.
