Fall 2020 Student Device Information


Dear parents and guardians,

Chromebook

The Belmont Public Schools is issuing a device to all students PreK-12, in support of our anticipated continuation of remote learning in some form (in person, hybrid, or remote) this fall. Device distribution begins on Monday, July 20 and runs through August 27.

Important: Families must reserve a day and time in order to pick up their device. Each grade will receive a unique registration link. If families have more than one student enrolled, please ensure you use the correct registration link for each student. Please check your e-mail for your registration link.

In order to ensure an efficient and safe distribution of devices, please review the following guidance:

  1. Devices will be distributed in the high school cafeteria. There will be signage in the parking lot area directing students/parents to the pickup door.
  2. Grades PreK – 2 will receive an iPad, grades 3-12 will receive a Chromebook.
  3. Students do not need to be present in order to receive a device. Parents can pick up the device on their behalf.
  4. Students and parents are required to wear a mask when entering the building.

Note: families will receive an additional e-mail later this summer containing a Device Loan Agreement which asks each family to acknowledge responsibility for insuring their loaner device against damage or loss.
