Superintendent's Message Regarding Inclement Weather and Upcoming Snowstorm

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff:

Each year we send you our snow communication delivery process. Decisions on cancelling school or delays are reviewed and assessed in collaboration with the Department of Public Works and our other Town leaders, keeping in mind community safety and the ability to clear roadways and school areas. This year will be no different.

As you know, there are predictions of a winter storm with plowable snow beginning this Wednesday evening into Thursday.  If there is a school cancellation for Thursday, we will inform you by Wednesday early evening. Families will receive an email and “robo- call” if there is a school cancellation - please know in that event, all classes, hybrid and remote-only, would be cancelled. If you do not receive an email or call, school will open as normal.

In addition to our emails and calls, our BPS website will list weather closures. As always, the local television and radio stations will also list cancellations. Please see below for some helpful links:

WBZ Radio (1030 AM) and TV (Channel 4) https://boston.cbslocal.com/closings/
