The Belmont Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is holding its Annual Meeting on June 14th starting at 6:30pm. This meeting will focus on a discussion of summer options and services immediately followed by volunteers outreach and concluding with our annual elections.

Cityside Subaru of Belmont Donates $25,863 to the Foundation for Belmont Education as their Local Share the Love Charity! This national initiative by the car manufacturer has resulted in donations of more than $200 million to local charities across the United States. CITYSIDE SUBARU HAS DONATED MORE THAN $150,000 TO THE FBE through the Subaru Share the Love program. Thank you Cityside Subaru of Belmont for all your past donations, and this year’s wonderful donation of $25, 863!

The Summer Reading Lists are a joint project of the Belmont Public Schools and the Belmont Public Library. They are designed to encourage students in Belmont to make reading a habit, raising both their interest in and level of reading. These books and works from authors are available to view in print and as e-books and e-audiobooks that can be borrowed free of charge from the Belmont Public Library’s collections in Libby and in Hoopla.

Warren Farrell Award for Educational Excellence, sponsored by Belmont Savings Bank Foundation. Recipients were selected among nominations submitted by students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and community members. Superintendent Screening Committee updates and Focus Group Opportunities

The Belmont Superintendent Screening Committee began its work to recruit a new Superintendent of Schools. A summary of work may be found on the Superintendent Screening page of the Belmont Public Schools website. The Screening Committee will conduct a series of virtual focus groups for students, staff, and families. Participants will be asked for input on what they consider to be the most effective characteristics for the district's next superintendent. This will be a time commitment of 75-90 minutes.
