A few updates to get us off to a good start...
We will be returning to school tomorrow with our hybrid model. As we continue to monitor numbers, we will keep you updated on the status of our learning mode. Please continue to review the symptom checker each day and observe the protocols for travel and symptoms that will help to keep us safer and together in in-person learning for as long as we can.
The cohort calendar is on our web site.
Thanks to the dedication of our Superintendent and facilities team, over the break additional purifiers were installed in classrooms so that we can safely close windows and still achieve the recommended ACH of 4 and above. Teachers a can still choose to keep their windows open, so having your child dressed in layers is still probably prudent.
It looks like snow is in the forecast. Please be sure to send your child with the appropriate gear so that they can play with their friends.
In so many cultures, the new year is a time for resolutions/goal setting. So often, we have grand ideas that never come to be. There is a Japanese philosophy called Kaizen which means “change for the better". It translates as "good" (kai) "change" (zen). It focuses on deliberate, continuous improvement. It is based on the idea that grand goals generally do not result in change. However, intentionally taking very small steps can result in very big improvements.
So, in the interest of continual improvement for ourselves and our children, let's resolve to take baby steps toward grand goals.
- Step 1. Think about the smallest possible action that you could take towards achieving your goal.
- Step 2. Do it.
- Step 3. Repeat Steps 1 & 2.
We have enjoyed our rest, but are looking forward to seeing your children again! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
