Our PTA’s Two Big Goals

Everything we plan aims to:

  • Enrich the lives of our students

  • Help all families feel welcome and connected to our school community

Volunteering at school events is a wonderful way to meet other families, strengthen our community, and show your children how much school matters. We appreciate all skills and time, big or small, and are happy to help you find the perfect volunteer fit. Grandparents are always welcome, too!

Keep an eye out for specific opportunities in the PTA News or email us anytime to learn more.

Important Volunteer Requirement: CORI Background Check

Massachusetts law requires all school employees and volunteers to complete a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check before starting—and every three years after that.

Here’s what you need to do:

  • Pick up or download the CORI Acknowledgement Form from any school office or online.

  • Bring the completed form in person with a valid government photo ID (like a driver’s license or passport) to the Burbank Office at least one week before your first volunteer date.

  • The Burbank Office will complete the required section on page 2 and send the form to the central administration for processing.

Your information is kept confidential, stored securely, and destroyed after three years. Once approved, all Belmont schools will recognize your cleared status when you check in.

Remember: your CORI clearance is valid for three years, then you’ll need to renew.

Thank you for helping us keep Burbank safe!

Other Ways to Be Involved

Attend a PTA Meeting or Community Night!

PTA Community Meetings will be held in person several times a year. Each meeting will include updates on the PTA activities, budget, and often a guest speaker.  This is a great opportunity to learn what is going on around school, get acquainted with other parents, and learn how you might like to become more involved.  Please join us!  The meeting schedule and reminders will be sent through the PTA News.

Buy Burbank Spirit Gear!

With fun logos and a range of limited edition products, Burbank Spirit Gear is a fabulous way to show your school spirit!  Burbank gear also makes a nice holiday or year-end gift for your child.  Every purchase helps support programs sponsored by the PTA.  Place an order by visiting the PTA Store or keep an eye out for Pre-Orders.

Build Our Community!

Attend social events at Burbank. Come have fun, make new friends, and get connected with other Burbank Families. Walk to school! Walking is a great way to meet Burbank families in your neighborhood.  Check out upcoming PTA Events!

Become a PTA Member

Becoming a PTA Member for the 2025-26 School Year supports our non-profit status so we can continue to serve our Burbank Community each year. Membership also gives you voting power so you can have a say about budget proposals and executive board elections! See our Support Us page for more information about becoming an official PTA member for this school year.

Join us!

Thanks in advance for your continued support of all the work that the Burbank PTA does.
