BASEC @ Chenery is a family-governed, non-profit program, after school program that operates under the auspices of the Belmont After School Enrichment Collaborative, or BASEC. BASEC provides Chenery students with a bridge between school and home. With a well-developed curriculum, BASEC @ Chenery imparts important 21st century skills including organizational skills, community service, social awareness, communication, creative problem solving, mindfulness, collaboration and teamwork. BASEC also offers a unique academic support program for 7th and 8th grade students. BASEC Branch opens at the end of the school day and operates until 4:30 PM. Students enrolled in the Branch program sign themselves out at the end of the day.Our regular after school programming is still available for all families in grades 7 - 8.
